Tides of Connection

• Developed in the Small Cyclades, Greece, this project reflects on the Express Skopelitis, a daily ferry owned by the homonymous family, that has long been a vital presence in island life. For decades, especially during winter, these islands were often cut off by storms and isolation. The service began in 1956 with a smaller vessel and, since the mid-1980s, has continued with the ferry still operating today, becoming a lifeline for people and essential supplies.The series is a visual tale of resilience, memory and the invisible ties that keep remote communities alive.
