• Each January, the village of San Bartolomé de Pinares ignites with the ancient ritual of Las Luminarias, where fire, smoke, and tradition merge into a single living spectacle. Horses and riders pass through towering bonfires as a symbolic act of purification and protection, honoring Saint Anthony, patron of animals. The night fills with the crackle of flames, the rhythm of hooves, and the presence of a community preserving a 500- year-old bond between faith, livestock, and ancestral heritage.
