Rooted in the Chinese cosmology of “Heaven and Earth,” this project explores the Hexi Corridor, a historic Silk Road passage and vessel of civilizational memory. From April to December 2023, I photographed its towns and villages, focusing on the relationship between people, nature, and land. Through arid fields, resilient trees, and local residents, the work reflects on human vitality, spiritual unease, and the quiet endurance of ordinary lives shaped by the earth.
