My father spends years tending to the ivy in our yard, constantly anchoring it to the house. Since 2022, my parents have lived alone in our family home. We, the children, have our own paths now, but we return as often as we can. "The Ivy" is an ongoing project documenting their daily life and the moments when the house becomes full again. To me, the plant is a symbol of our family: growing bud by bud, knot by knot, expanding and clinging to the walls of the place where we belong. I photograph these moments to make sure I remember them.
