On October 7, 2023, more than 115,000 Palestinian workers from the Occupied West Bank received an automatic notification on their phones that their work permit in Israel had been revoked, leaving them unemployed while their Israeli employers were left without workforce. Since then, thousands of Palestinians who became undocumented from one day to another, have risked their lives by jumping over the separation wall to provide for their families. Considered as potential terrorists, they are targeted by the army and risk being shot or arrested.
