Since the start of the war with Israel, more than 1 million people across Lebanon have been forced to leave their homes due to evacuation orders and Israeli bombardments. Since the start of the war, Kassem Istanbouli, a Lebanese actor and director, has transformed the Cinéma Colisée in the Hamra into a shelter for displaced people and a space dedicated to performances. Here, every day, he leads psychodrama sessions in which displaced children, teenagers, and adults act out their traumas, using theater to confront and process them.
