Roller derby is a small sport. And a special one too. Two teams trying to get one player pass the opposing team at the same time as they try to prevent the other team from doing the same. Women, because it is only women or persons identifying themselves as not heterosexual males that participate, tackling and racing around the oval court. It is action and speed all the time but also a friendly atmosphere. Roller Derby players are like one big family, fighting only to hug each other.
