An uprising ended, but the grieving did not. Broken Promises: July of Memory documents the aftermath of Bangladesh’s July 2024 uprising, where thousands of protesters were permanently injured and families still wait for those who never returned. Though authoritarian power fell, silence, violence, and impunity persisted. Through survivors, mourning families, and youth networks, the project reveals how unfinished justice deepens everyday suffering and exposes how fragile hope becomes when accountability is absent.
