The circus is a large family, a community held together not only by affection but also by the great passion for their work. My main interest was to tell more about the atmospheres than the "performers" by focusing on the moments of preparation, pause, concentration, rather than the show. In this way it seemed to me to preserve at least in part the mystery, and the magic that captures the spectator when the curtain opens. In an increasingly digital world, the circus can represent a return to wonder, an invitation to believe in the impossible and to let yourself be carried away by fantasy.
