Tierra Grata is situated between the towns of La Paz and Manaure Balcón del Cesar in the Department of Cesar, Colombia, near the border of Venezuela. This area was established in 2016 as part of the peace agreement. The transitional zones, known as ETCRs, were created to provide accommodation, training, and security for former guerrillas as they transitioned into civilian life. Currently, 168 former members of the FARC-EP, specifically from fronts 19 and 41 of the Martín Caballero bloc, are living in this location peacefully with their families. Colombia, September 2025.
