During the economic boom, thanks to the 1948 agreement between Italy and Switzerland, many Italians emigrated as workers. "We wanted hands, but human beings arrived," wrote Max Frisch. Behind this migration are stories of separation and broken families. Many children grew up amidst discrimination and prejudice, learning to live between two realities. Today, the "secondos" are part of Swiss society: they have built careers and spaces of recognition, maintaining their language and family values. "Between Two Worlds" is a dialogue between generations, an attempt to shape a plural identity.
