A Day In The Life of A Disabled School Principal

  • Director
    Mohammed Muhtasib

Each morning in Panchdona, Altaf Hossain known as Dukhu Mia rises with quiet determination. Born without arms in 1962, he has built a life not defined by sorrow but by resilience. His day begins at the school he founded, Protibha Dukhu Mia Kindergarten School. Standing tall before his students, he leads them in their daily parade, instilling discipline and pride. Inside the classroom, Dukhu Mia grips chalk between his toes, writing lessons on the blackboard and guiding eager young minds. He grades papers, drafts letters, and runs his school with the same authority, in Bangladesh.
