Peking opera, a performance art incorporating singing, reciting, acting, martial arts was inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010. The series is a project done by Master Tang CY, a Peking Opera actor and costume collector, who has painstakingly collected old antique costume pieces thru'out China and putting them back together to recreate the exact looks from original costumes of Peking Opera from the 1800s based on old photos and paintings. The conservative art project has been featured on China national tv and newspapers.
