This is a photograph taken at a WW2 re-enactment in Rockford, IL. Here a US soldier/re-enactor is helping up another US soldier/re-enactor who is simulating being wounded. The other images are taken from the same event and consist of both battle images as well as portraits of the re-enactors who make up the event. Re-enactment events are becoming increasingly popular because the public needs to be reminded of the associated history and the veterans who were part of the history are passing away rapidly. These events also provide an entertaining spectacle.
