Natasha Egan

Executive Director / Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago

Since 2011, Natasha Egan has served as Executive Director of the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago (MoCP), where she previously worked as Associate Director and Curator. Under her leadership, MoCP has strengthened its global reputation as a leading institution dedicated to contemporary photography, presenting exhibitions that spark dialogue on pressing social, political, and cultural issues.

Egan has curated more than fifty exhibitions, with particular emphasis on contemporary Asian art and artists addressing the environment, human rights, and economic systems. Internationally, she has guest curated major projects including the 2010 FotoFest Biennial in Houston, the U.S. Pavilion at the 2016 Photo Dubai Exhibition, and the 2019 Lianzhou Photography Biennial in China. A frequent writer and lecturer, Egan has contributed essays to numerous books and taught for over a decade at Columbia College Chicago. She holds a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Puget Sound and an MFA in Photography and MA in Museum Studies from Columbia College Chicago.
