Saving my family, I left Ukraine on 24 February 2022. In these photos, there are bright memories, warm emotions, lived happiness and images about Ukraine that keep our connection with our family and homeland.
They are between 7 and 25 years old and all have one thing in common, to have known only one president, Wladimir Putin, who reigns over one of the largest countries in the world and is now launching in a war unanimously condemned by the international community.
Ukraine’s immense size doesn’t seem to be enough to stay afloat in this war. However, this people stoically resists even as it is pushed underground
The war in Ukraine’s East continues to escalate a year after Russia’s full-scale invasion. Over eight million people escaped the country, and many others are displaced, as the OHCHR has also recorded nearly nineteen thousand civilian casualties.
